As prosecutors, we know all t0o well that perpetrators use pornography to “groom” children.  The showing of pornography is often used to normalize the sexual behavior and lower the insecurities of the victim.  The National Coalition to Prevent Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation has recently put out a Fact Sheet with a robust list of references, which underscore the effects this material has on children.  If you are considering filing a motion to introduce “grooming” evidence, these references are a great place to start.
